  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

Approved & Washed

  1. Messiah Jesus, being the very Word of God, came to fulfill the written Word and be the Word in our midst. The following is an example of how Jesus’ teaching looked back to the Scriptures ("Tanakh"—Old Testament) which the Holy Spirit breathed into the faculties of the writers, for our benefit:

    Ecclesiastes 9:7

7 Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.

In this verse, we are given a picture of God’s approval—in the form of a feast. There is favor in what we do. There is joy.

We are favored when we are in Christ and He in us. There is feasting and celebration in this, too:

    Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

And being approved? Mark 10:52 shows us the result of having the approval of Jesus:

Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Ecclesiastes 9:8 illustrates what our actions should be like, in light of God’s approval:
8 Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil.

Messiah Jesus pointed out that the same attitude is needed when we seek clarification of the Father’s favor when fasting:

    Matthew 6:17
17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face.

This combination of right attitude and action means we should be “righteous” (do justice); it is shown in the exhortation to “be clothed in white” and to “wash” ourselves, so that we have the correct conscience before God and man:

    Hebrews 10:22
let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
