Another Helper

John 7:37-39. On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe in him should receive: for the Holy Spirit was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

There were numerous signs from the Law and prophets that should have pointed clearly to that generation that Yeshua was in fact Messiah.
Beyond this fact is the clear evidence that certain aspects of Messiah could not be accomplished until after He was glorified.
Crucifixion>Resurrection>Ascension.
Yeshua assures His disciples that afterwards, He would send ‘another helper’ to be with them always.

The Holy Spirit is the seal of the Father’s promise, and the outward manifestation of Messiah working in and through us is a sign to the world. We are that sign by the Holy Spirit in us.

Ephesians 1:13. In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.

Furthermore, the Lord said that there would be signs that would follow the apostles in their ministry, which is well attested to in the Acts.
Mark 16:17. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.
Acts 2:4. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
