"When it happens, everyone will say, “He is our God! We have put our trust in him, and he has rescued us. He is the LORD! We have put our trust in him, and now we are happy and joyful because he has saved us.”

In our text, the people collectively declared God as theirs. It is important to note that He was first a personal God to indivduals before this collective declaration. The question to you is "Is the God that created heaven and the earth, who sent Jesus to die on the Cross, your God?" Everyone that successfully walked with God either in the Bible days or in our contemporary world, personally knew God. There was no shadow of turning about their relationship with God. They knew Him and He also knew them. Do you know God and does He also know you? How is your walk with Him? Paul said in Phillipians 4:19
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 NKJV). He personally had a relationship with God. He trusted Him to supply the needs of his audience according to His riches in glory through the name of Jesus. After his conversion on the road to Damascus, his relationship with God was never in doubt again.
Abraham had the same testimony. When Eliezer was to travel to Abraham's homeland and secure a wife for Isaac.
"Then he said, “O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham." (Genesis 24:12 NKJV)
He prayed to the God of his master and He answered him immediately. Can someone be in a difficult situation and pray to your God. Will He respond to such a request because of your relationship with Him?
This is what it meant to be a man or woman of God. When you have a personal relationship with Him and it will be of benefit to others.
ACTION PLAN: Make a decision to do away with sin today, it is a major separator between you and God.
PRAYER: Father, remove sin from my life. It has separated me from you long enough.
