A Little Word On Storms(5)

Even before the battle started the outcome has been decided: decided in our favor! Jesus assured us that challenges will come but much more he gave an assurance of our victory over all the storms and challenges of life. It is in this unfailing words of the master in John 16:33-34 that we must put our hope! The word of God is our surest anchor in the world, the storms will blow, the trials will come, but anchored to the word we are sure of victory in the world.

This hope was what made Paul declared confidently in Romans 8:18, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." This assurance can only come from the revelation of the word. This is why in the last installment of this series the cardinal point of our discourse is hinged on the spiritual truth that the revealed word is the answer to every persisting storm!

Psalm 107:17-20 tells us that when these people in their troubles did call upon the lord he answered by sending his word and when they receive this word by revelation and applied the word, it ended their storms and their troubles. The sent word is received through the channel of revelation! Revelation, therefore, opens us up to the mind of God on every issue of life! Revelation connects us with the hearts of God! What is in God's heart reaches our heart through the channel of revelation! The sent word is received via revelation! And we access revelation by none other but by the Spirit of God!

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 tells, "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God". To every issue of life, there are prepared answers in the heart of God and these prepared answers lead our way into Gods prepared blessings for us. Because on the other side of the storm there is lifting and blessings! But first, we must access Gods prepared answers! What God has prepared comes to us by the revelation of the Spirit.

Ephesians 3:1-5 we read, "For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit"

Again we see from this scripture that there is nothing hidden that cannot be revealed by the Spirit. The Spirit of God is the revelator of the mysteries of God! Whatever has been hidden for ages can be revealed by the Spirit of God!

Revelation brings us into Gods prepared answers for every issues and storm of life but it is the Spirit that brings us into revelation! It, therefore, means that we need the supply of the Spirit of God more than any other! The turn around in every storm of life begins with the supply of the Spirit of Christ! Its why Paul prayed in Philippians 1:19, "For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ".

Each time the Spirit is poured out there is a turnaround! It doesn't matter what the storm is when the Spirit is supplied the storms of life must cease! This is why I crave this supply daily: the supply of the Spirit. The supply of the Spirit brings revelation and revelation sets the pace for our liberty and manifestation!

On our kneels deep things can be revealed!

Proverbs 1:23, however, shows us the path to the supply of the Spirit and revelations, "Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you". This scripture outlines the spiritual sequence to revelation, the first is to turn which represents a prayer posture, and then God's Spirit is poured out and ultimately this outpouring of the Spirit brings us into the realms of revelation!
