Just throwing this out there, but living next to a gun range and Army base sure make for interesting nights. I'm not sure what they all do over there, but whatever it is, there are a lot of explosions at night, and as a result the house shakes sometimes. The one thing I love, though, is that every night at 10pm, the base will play 'taps,' I believe it's called, and so I tell my kids that it's our goodnight song. They look forward to hearing it every night (if they can stay awake for it ). So with that being said: Hello CF, and welcome back to another exciting edition of my Thankfulness Challenge. Today I would like to congratulate @Greg Merrill for being the first to complete the challenge, and also say thanks to everyone else who has participated in this challenge as well. So to jump right into it, the first thing that I am thankful for today is,
Bible Studies: I find the deeper I dig into the bible the more that God has to show me. What I quickly began to noticed after my first few bible studies was that how different people could have different revelations from the same book, or even the same verses, that we were studying out. That isn't a bad thing, though, because God will give people different revelations on the same verses depending on where the person is at spiritually (and for other reasons). While spending time in these studies I have found that God has so much to reveal to us, and that there is so much revelation that can come out of a single chapter, or even a single verse. For example, my pastor studied Ephesian 4 for an entire year, and God gave him enough revelation to do 4 different series, that had 8 hours to each of them (now that is a lot of revelation). I can't wait for that to happen in my life
Now moving onto the next thing on my list, the second thing that I am thankful for is,
Car Washes: I mentioned in another past of mine that we have been having a lot of rain lately, which is great because we really need it. Buuuuuuut, usually with rain comes mud, and with mud comes dirty vehicles. So that's why I am thankful for car washes, because they turn what is dirty, into something that clean and shiny I love taking my kids to a car wash, and they love coming with me as well. My daughters like to pretend that the scrubbers are octopuses that are attacking and, and that we are some kind of under water ship trying to escape (gotta love a kid's imagination). But we also have a car wash by our house that is more of a manual one that they love to go to as well. They like it when the foam come out of the big brush and that they are able to color the car with that pink foam. Then they get all excited about spraying the thing down with that powerful hose. Now, I have daughter that isn't as big as my oldest child, and so when she sprays those hose, it actually throws her back which is hilarious. She loses control of the thing and begins to spray everything in sight. It's a great time, and really, I'm more so thankful for car washes because of the memories that were created because of them
And finally, the last things that I am thankful for today is,
Note: I need to give a quick heads up. Now, the last thing on my list was actually suggested by my wife. I was laying here staring at the computer screen not knowing what to write down (writers block), and so my wife grabbed the laptop and wrote down what you are about to read... hahaha, enjoy
Silent and non-smelly farts: There are some secrets that are okay, and a silent fart is one of them They are like a secret only you and your jeans know about. Here's a knee slapper for ya, "Bill Gates farted in an Apple store. He later commented, "Well it’s hardly my fault they don't have any Windows…” Wasn't that joke just fartastic? Oh, man I crack myself up. Anyways, I am sure that I don't need to elaborate on this one, come on now, we have all experienced the awesomeness of getting away with a silent fart; but more importantly, we don't want to forget about relief that follows it. Thank you CF, you have been great! Thank you all for coming to this post, my name is Alicia. Thank you, and have a great night.
*Face Palms* Hahaha, oh man. So there we have it, another 3 things added to my ever growing list of things that I am thankful for. Like always, thank you so much for checking out this post, and I hope it blessed you as much as these always bless me. So until next time, I hope everyone (in my neck of the woods) has a great night, and God Bless.
