14. Countdown....summary.

Summary.

We live in very challenging times. We are seeing a great upheaval not only economically but socially. People`s hearts are `failing from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth..` (Luke 21: 26)

The pandemic has not only shut down the economy but caused much fear and anxiety. And this is ongoing as people are afraid to come near others, leading to many being isolated.

Then we are beginning to see the `distress of nations, with perplexity.` (Luke 21: 25) Thousands of people are protesting for various reasons and many are rioting, looting and killing anyone in their way. Lawlessness is rising.

`And because lawlessness will abound the love of many will grow cold.` (Matt. 24: 12)

The nations counsel together and think they can throw off the constraints of God, but they will be deceived and reveal their motives of greed, and desire for power and control.

God the Father however is bringing the nations to His Son`s footstool for judgment.

While we see all this in the nations, we as part of the Body of Christ are not subject to that judgment. We are to keep working with the Lord to make us like Christ, revealing those wrong attitudes and asking for forgiveness. We are to be reaching out to those around us in need, both for food, prayer, and teaching others the truth of what God is doing.

Then as we `see the day approaching` with the great economic depression, we are not to be fearful, but look to the Lord as He provides great opportunities to help others. It is important at this time to be connected with others for we each have a part as we work together.

Then when we see the Russian Federation gathering just outside the Golan Heights we know that our redemption draws nigh.

So let us eagerly look for the Lord to come and take us to our eternal home in heaven.

`To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.` (Heb. 9: 28)
