“having The Faith Of A Child” Should Be More Than Just A Slogan.

(A Facebook blog post, I wrote when I was planning on writing a book 2 years ago)

Mark 10: 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

Deuteronomy 29:29
"The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.

Acts 2:38-39
Repent and be baptized every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins may be forgiven and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and for your children and for many who are-for all whom the Lord our God will call.

Matthew 21:16
“Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, “‘From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise’?”

Many Westerners can place an intellectual requirement on the partaking of sacraments/ordinances. They say you need to be of a specific age to be baptized or to partake of Communion. This goes against the Eastern Christian understanding of things, which I believe is the correct view. Our Faith is both spiritual and supernatural. Jesus used little children as a model of faith and did so for good reason. Faith is a form of trust. Little children are dependent on their parents for everything they need. We likewise are dependent on God for everything we need. This sort of relationship does not need great intellectual development. Little Children have enough consciousness to realize they are part of a family and loved by their parents, likewise that sort of realization is all we need to begin our journey as Christians.

The chapter also includes some anecdotal stories of my own experiences seeing God work supernaturally through the sacraments.
