I'm going to make some observations about Creationism before explaining the thread title. The point falsified by Creationists will be explained in my fourth post.
Creationists have clearly picked a fight with the wrong enemy. Why is science is the enemy. At a time when Christianity seems to be under attack from every direction, Creationists have picked a fight that Christians don't need.
After discussing Creationism for years, I've come to certain conclusions. Creationists assume that at...
The Uk referendum was marked by especially violent thunder storms over key remain voting areas in London and the South East of England. It is possible this was a sign of Gods judgment on the arrogance of these areas. These areas were outvoted by the rest of England and the leave campaign won. It is also clear that many potential remain voters did not make it to the polls because of the floods.
1) So was this an Act of God so that the leave campaign would win?
2) If it was an Act of God is...
Okay, so here's the problem.
I and my wife recognize the need and necessity to go to Church. However there are only two non denominational churches in our area and, one is in town. The church in town, does not follow the word of God. They don't even practice communion (A very important part of a Christian church) in their church.
So, I've marked it as a church for us to avoid. There is one other church within 60 miles of here that I have not checked out yet.
But, we have no car and...
Please post any Scripture passages that you think prove that Annihilationism is untrue in this thread.
Let's discuss them. I have only one other request, please be polite when you post here, I've had a lot of bad experiences with people who think that God plans to have the unrepentant tortured alive in hell.
What the heck, I think I'll add a poll.
The whole idea of women in leadership is such a hot issue, and whenever it comes up it turns into a female-verses-male, equality contest...and it should not be so - because...it's not about us.
The whole point of God creating us in His image, male and female, has a purpose that is simply bigger than us...and He did it for His on purpose, not ours. Instead of squabbling over equality - we should be embracing our differences - differences that God considers important. So...instead of...
What makes other faiths "wrong", besides a faith in Christianity and Jesus Christ...?
It seems so hard in today's world to tell other people that their faith is "wrong" and yours is "right", the first question their going to ask you is "why?" What would be the best way to go about explaining it, and justifing your beliefs over theirs, to them? What is the best way to convince them that you are right, and how do you win them over, and out of their false beliefs to your side? How do you do...
Why do I believe that free will is part of our lives, and part of Christianity?
To me the evidence is that both good and evil exists. Instead of us being God's empty vessels - His puppets - He gave us true souls and true free will. To me it looks like He valued free will more, but all the same He knew the price of free will as well.
So as Christians we are free... to choose God. And as non-Christians, something else. But that we chose God in our free will means that the choice will have...
I really believe this is uncalled for, and that people should have the freedom to show goodwill towards others.
