In all the eschatology books I have read, I have rarely found an explanation for Daniel 7:11-12. So what do you think...
How were the lives of the three beasts prolonged after the fourth beast was destroyed?
I personally believe the beast in Daniel 7:11 refers to the Western Roman Empire (in the area of Western Europe) and the rest of the beasts in Daniel 7:12 refers to the Byzantine Empire (in the area of the Babylonian Empire, the Persian Empire, and the Grecian Empire). Since the Western Roman Empire ended in AD 476, but the Byzantine Empire did not end until AD 1453, that is how the rest of the beasts were prolonged 977 years after the beast was destroyed.
Daniel 7:11-12... I beheld then because of the voice of the great words...
Scottish Episcopal Church approves gay marriage - BBC News
The Episcopal church in Scotland has become the latest to back gay marriage.
For conservatives, how do you respond to this trend? More and more churches are making this move, while pretty much nothing happens on the other side (no progressive church changes direction and decides to ban gay marriage again)
Where does the fault lie? Is it society/the devil deluding these churches, in your view?
Is the explanation "oh well they were never really Christian in the first place, so its good that we can recognize the true Christians more easily now" ?
The Anglican Communion may eventually approve of gay marriage as a whole. Catholics - probably not in our lifetime, but there are...
I would like to show you historical data that prove Babylon the Great, the Antichrist and the False Prophet are real, they are among us today, and have fulfilled 97% of the prophecies describing them in the Bible. The historical data show the Antichrist and the False Prophet are demons, not human beings, although the Antichrist uses a man to manifest himself.
The historical data show Babylon the Great is the church in Rome (the Catholic Church). The data show the seat of the papacy is the Antichrist (all the popes, not one in particular). The data show the Antichrist not only made a covenant with Israel, but he did it in the right month of the right year it had to happen, to be perfectly in line with Scripture. The data also show 8...
I attend a Christian school over in Sydney, Australia.
In recent weeks, I've discovered quite a few homosexuals (which indeed surprises me for the nature of the school I attend), with one friend being gay himself.
I've felt their overly progressive values are attempting to pull me away from God. I'm a relatively conservative Christian, for those that do not know.
I've tried praying, but nothing is working as of yet.
What can I do to resolve this? As the majority of my year group is quite progressive, I don't want to call them out for being gay or tell them they deserve death as God himself requires, as I'll be labelled a homophobe and lose all of my reputation, a typical thing the left does to silence opposition.

The photo that lost radio’s ‘Bible Answer Man’ thousands of listeners
For nearly three decades, Hank Hanegraaff has been the “Bible Answer Man” to millions of evangelical Christians who tune in to his Charlotte-based radio program with questions – big and small – about Scripture.
“What does the Bible teach about debt?” they ask him. “When is divorce permissible?” And – the question that gets asked the most – “Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?”
Two months ago, Hanegraaff, whose faith had long been focused on exploring the truth of a book, went through a different kind of religious experience. It was, he says, “one of the premiere moments in my life.”
On Palm Sunday, he and wife Kathy and two of their 12 children...
Yes, that is what Jesus taught.
I've made the comment that Jesus told the prostitute off.
No, he didn't.
He told her to "Go, and sin no more"
It was up to her to figure out what that meant.
This was moments after telling off a group
who was deciding for themselves what was sin
and which rocks would fix it.
If I obey I am accepted
If I am good God will love me
People: Good and bad
Focus: What I do and don't do
Produces: Pride and Despair
Motivated by fear
Christianity supposed to be:
I am accepted so I will obey
I am bad and Jesus loves bad people
People: Repentant or not
Focus: What Jesus did
Produces: humility and confidence
Motivated by love
I had this poll in another thread but I decided to change the title because it didn't get many responses.
Ive been dating a woman for a while now and when Im not with her I miss her and want to be with her...even marry her...but when we are together in real life I feel cold...I dont want to be with her....I feel no passion....is that a sign of a fear? or just a sign that i dont want her
How do I overcome anxiety, fear, and intimidation? That has been what had been wrong with me. I need help in this situation. Basically, I need to learn how to stand up for myself. Should I pray and fast or just prayer? What kind of prayer should pray about this situation? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
