I just wanted to share something my fiance' came up with. She is a jewelry designer and has a shop with her daughter. They asked if I had an outlet for some of their items and I told them I would share it with everyone here at CF. So I started them an Etsy Shop account to showcase what they have done. And this is the first items! Check it out and let me know what you think!
Thanks so much! - Rex

There are slight differences in meaning from translation to translation in every verse. Won't this turn out to change the meaning of the whole Bible from translation to translation? If I change my course by 1 degree every five miles, I will never reach my destination. So I contend that if you are reading a different translation than me, your breed of Christianity will be different from mine. This may indeed be very dangerous for you, if my breed of Christianity is the one, narrow, and ONLY way to eternal life (see Matthew 7:13-14), that would mean your breed of Christianity will take you off course and not bring you into heaven.
And yes I am of the opinion that the KJV is both inspired and inerrant, though I do not intend this to...
I am trying to become a better person and grow as a person and whenever I am feeling upset or useless I always turn to God. I have always felt since a very young age that I am not worthy of anything, I am not good at anything and I know the cliches that everyone is good at something, but I am not good at any particular thing and at best I am mediocre at things that people find normal and easy. It has been a rough few days and I feel as if the next few weeks are going to be rough, I am trying to maintain a positive attitude and read bible verses every night and sometimes throughout the day to make me feel better and strengthen my relationship with God. I just feel like Im a waste of space and I have nothing to offer to the world, but my...
"And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days."
The woman represents the congregation of Israel, started with Old Testament Israel and end with the New Testament Israel. The 1260 days the woman is fed in the wilderness is symbolically and is pointing us to the skia or shadow how the Old Testament nation of Israel had to survive in the wilderness nourished of God before they entered the promised land. So the New Testament Church has to follow that exact same path. After this woman (the congregation of Israel) was persecuted by Satan and brought forth Christ who was caught up to the throne to reign, she fled...
The term "angel" and "messenger" are the same words in both Hebrew and in Greek. Thus a messenger of God can even be a human messenger as in the case of Malachi whose name means "my messenger."
Angels are indeed messengers of God and there are places in the Scriptures in which The term, "the Angel of the Lord," is believed to be the pre-incarnated Jesus Christ, and the term usually found for those appearances, are called "theophanies."
There are other places in the Bible where there is little doubt, the character involved, was also the pre-incarnated Jesus. Such as the third angel, Abraham called the Lord, in Gen.18:1-15 In another place, the 'man' who wrestled with Jacob, whom he called God, in Gen.32:24-28. And again in Jos.5:13-15,...
Hi everyone. I am new to preterism. The reason that I have come to this conclusion on eschatology, is because Jesus said twice that he would return before that generation passed. Actually I think it woz three times.
Either we go preterist, or conclude that Jesus was mistaken or wrong. I don't think that Jesus was wrong.
There seems to be evidence that the rapture occurred in 70 AD, from various pagan sources. There were no Christians remaining to record the event, so it is a bit cloudy in history. The faith was lost and all that remained were the various Gnostic Greek sects which developed after the rapture, eventually being replaced by the Catholic Church.
For info.. I am a religious liberal - which means that I am not a...
Full Preterists & Pantelists think so. Here are some texts they refer to in support of their view. Can you refute their view that Christ's so-called Second Coming already happened in 70 AD?
1. "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." (Matt. 3:2)
2. "Who warned you to flee from the wrath about to come?" (Matt. 3:7)
3. "The axe is already laid at the root of the trees." (Matt. 3:10)
4. "His winnowing fork is in His hand." (Matt. 3:12)
5. "The kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matt. 4:17)
6. "The kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matt. 10:7)
7. "You shall not finish going through the cities of Israel, until the Son of Man comes." (Matt. 10:23)
8. "....the age about to come." (Matt. 12:32)
9. "The Son of Man is about to come in the...
So, I'm trying to follow God once again and I have been (unsuccessfully) for a while. I'm trying to turn from my sin, I'm reading the Bible even though I'm not that into it, and I'm trying to pray to God. Regarding that last one I have hit a snag. I have a lot of problems. I'm 24, have aspergers syndrome, live with my parents, don't have a job (I can't get a full time job because my mother put me on disability when I was in high school), don't have a drivers license. I have no friends (not that I'd want one because I generally can't stand people) except my family which is why I'd never move out by myself even if given the opportunity, I have been separated from God for 14 years though I've tried vociferously to get back to him. I have a...
Can we trust a Bible with mistakes?
Can we trust any Bible 100%?
Which Bible/s can we trust?
What does it mean when God said he will preserve his word?
What are your thoughts?

"Spirit of Christ"...What is it?
...God the Son, Son of God, Son of Man, Jesus the Divine Messiah, the Christ, etc.
Romans 8:2...For the law of the Spirit of life IN Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
Romans 8:9b...But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
1 Peter 1:11...seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
Philippians 1:19...for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers
and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
Is the "Spirit of Christ" simply the manifestation of Jesus in the Godhead?
The preppers are storing water, canned food and ammo, even trying to grow vegetables in the bunker, in anticipation of the coming trouble times of wars, calamities, plagues, financial crisis and famines (the grief Tribulation).
There will be no need for the Wise Virgins to become preppers at all because Jesus Christ Himself will serve us at the Glorious Feast of the Lamb if we are ON THE ALERT when He comes like a thief in the night.
Luke 12:37 "Blessed are those servants whom the Master will find ON THE ALERT when He comes; truly I say to you, that He will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them.
The wise virgins shall be taken to the Feast of the Lamb.
And they will be served by...
