From the February 2009 Trumpet Print Edition » Does Scripture account for the age of dinosaurs?
Dinosaur Tracks, the almost homemade-looking sign says on the side of Highway 160 just west of Tuba City, Arizona, on the way to the Grand Canyon. The expanse of fossils and footprints, scattered throughout this portion of the Painted Desert on a Navajo Indian reservation, attests to a dramatic moment in Earth’s history.
The site lies some miles north of an ancient meteoric crater, and the story seems relatively clear from the evidence left behind. Some footprints indicate running—confusion as traffic collided in the final moments of a chaotic world. Yet, the majority of the footprints seem to face the direction of the crater—as if these...
According to Jesus Christ's testimony as a credible expert witness in all matters pertaining to the afterlife; most of the world's responsible souls haven't been making it to safety when they cross over to the other side.
● Luke 13:22-24 . . And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, master, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them: Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
● Matt 7:13-14 . . Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only...
Revelation 21:1 says "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." Personally, I've always been intrigued by this verse. I know there is no clear/obvious answer in regards to what the purpose of the new earth is for, but I want to hear everyone's views and ideas on this subject. What thoughts do you have concerning this passage?
It is an oft discussed subject that mainline Protestant denominations are declining and losing members. Evangelical denominations are also declining in recent years. The Southern Baptist Convention, the largest evangelical denomination in the United States with 15 million members, is declining similarly as the largest mainline Protestant denomination in the US, the United Methodist Church with 7.2 million members.
The Southern Baptist Convention lost 1 million members.
The United Methodist Church, in the US, has also lost members. In 2011, the UMC lost 72,000 members.
2011 numbers show U.S. members still sliding - The United...
You will not have any other god's before (or besides) me... (AMP)
Amplified bible includes the words "or besides" me... Not beside, "besides" meaning no other big or small ones even...
I think we all fail that test...
And, then, we're all liars, scripture says... wrathful (angry) at someone, murder, were all murderers in our heart... fornicators and adulterer's, especially all spiritually speaking, how were all kind of like God's adulterous wives connected to all the gods we all have... Coveting, that almost means desiring anything... How many of us have done or do do or have that... (Also connected to the gods or idols)...
I could go on, but I think that is enough to get the point, so, who never sins anymore at all again...?

For almost fourteen years now my grandma and I have been attending this fellowship whch is an inner city ministry that deals with drug addicrs and the like.My Grandma (who I've posted about n the prayer forum;she's in the hospital)served as an usherette and in the children's ministy, and it brought her joy to do that.she used to tell me how good she felt serving at church.About six years ago she suffered a mild stroke. My dad tld the chruch what happended they said they would pray for her and that they would come to see her.Don't know for sure if they prayed (I didn't go to the service)but they never came either ,even though pastors wife called to get the address ,they never came...
The Bible presents scripture which mention salvation... and baptism with water isn't mentioned.
John 3:16 is perhaps the most famous....“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.....no mention of water.
Same with Acts 2:21....And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’
Romans 10:13. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
NOTICE.....no mention of water baptism. None. If water baptism is so essential for one's salvation...why is it omitted?
Deep in my heart I want God and Jesus to be able to speak to us through dreams.
My Mother has always talked about these 3 wonderful different dreams she had that
she thinks were from God or a spiritual realm. And one of them changed her life,
the others brought her peace and comfort.
Many times when I ask a question like this on a Christian Forum there will be 3 or 4 people who tell me that God no longer speaks through dreams and his word is the only thing that is now valid.
This discourages me because I would like to pray for dreams and visions from God and Jesus.
I know not every dream is from God, I know to pray for interpretation and for the message to be made clear.
Do you think God can and does still speak through dreams?
