My new home State has made great life affirming news!
I wonder how many other States with the death penalty have this provision in their law? That's what caused our court here to overturn. But pro-DP people are going to likely appeal. And change the language in the law in a new bill so that it can continue. That's what the article says. But let's praise God for now pro-life people.
The top court released its ruling Tuesday...
What do you think about relics?
God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
Elisha died and was buried. Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring. Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s...
1 Cor:3:12-13 says (KJV) "Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is."
According to classic Catholic belief Purgatory is a place of burning fire, that does the final refining of the gold, silver and precious stones. Is the passage above not definite proof that such a place exists?
Why would God teach us to not discriminate on who we love, forgive, help and do good and not practice that with election and predestination (Calvinistic sense)? Is God the biggest hypocrite out there? Didn't He emphatically condemn hypocrisy? Why would God "hate" someone when He teaches us to not have any hate in our hearts? Ever heard the phrase "hate the sin not the sinner"? Jesus said, "If you love those who love you, what merit is there in that?". The Calvinist system completely...
It says in 1 Timothy 2:4(God) desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
It also says in 1 John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
So, why not pray for everyone to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth?
So I've brought it up a few times in various threads that were only slightly on topic, but where are the laws against rape and molestation?
Leviticus 18 has a long list of people you aren't supposed to have sex with, and it even mentions no homosexual sex, but nowhere in the OT does it say, "Don't have sex with people that don't want it" or "Don't have sex with children".
If the Mosaic Laws were really handed down directly by God to Moses, then shouldn't the worst possible sins get...
Europe has been hit by yet another terror attack as two Islamists stormed a church in Normandy, France and beheaded a Catholic priest before being shot dead by police.
The attackers entered the church in the town of Saint Etienne du Rouvray at around 9am this morning local time during mass before taking six hostages, including the pastor, two nuns and several worshippers.
One of the nuns was reportedly able to escape and alert authorities. After a gunfight, police announced that the...
