Ok I don't want this question to cause any discourse between us all but it's a question many non believers ask.
How can we prove that the New Testament is to be relied upon for guidance, how can we be so sure in this day and age that we are receiving the correct message.
If you have a bad life on this earth and struck with misfortune do you think God will make up for it?
Do you think heaven really makes up for things people miss out on in this life such as no children, death of family members, no spouse, no sex, no friends, being poor and never getting to go anywhere? Having to work a boring retail job and die getting nowhere in life? Kids dying?
Not that these things have happened to me just wondering.... especially cause we haven't exactly seen heaven.
"preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching." (2 Tim 4:2)
1. to criticize or correct, especially gently:to reprove a pupil for making a mistake.
2. to disapprove of strongly; censure:to reprove a bad decision.
1. to express sharp, stern disapproval of; reprove; reprimand.
1. to urge, advise, or caution earnestly; admonish urgently.
2. to give urgent advice, recommendations, or warnings.
I like many others believe that the world is flat, there is insurmountable evidence to believe so, but one question I have always asked the marble earth believers is "where would hell be?" I'd be more than happy to explain why the marble earth "theory" is incorrect and how the bible proves it.
I have been enjoying the Christmas shows on the Hallmark channel. However I have noticed that the premises of many of them, probably the majority of them, is something along these lines: a woman has successful career, she decides that she would rather be a wife and mother, she gives up her career and moves to small town to get married, stay at home and raise children.
Why is it almost never the man in these shows who gives up his career to stay home and raise children so his wife can enjoy...
Idk the best place to put this, but here I go.
What is your thoughts on Freemasonry?
I have a relative who is a Freemason and I considered joining after he told me what they do. After some exploration into their beliefs and how many Chrisrians are against it, I'm now reconsidering.
They do not show preference towards any religion and accept all as truth. I can see why this would concern Christians, but it seems that the Freemasons are trying to avoid showing favor towards any religion and...
11/17/04 From YahuShua HaMashiach, He Who Is Called Jesus The Christ, Our Lord and Savior - The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy, For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear
Thus says The Lord: Most assuredly, I say to you, any and all rituals which are rooted in paganism are an abomination in the eyes of God! And all who place My name upon them, or do them by permission in My name, have surely taken the name of The Lord in vain... Desecration!
I know many say they celebrate this holiday in...
I have two questions that I would like your opinion on.
1) Can an unregenerate person obey the 10 commandments perfectly. Is it possible?
2) Can an regenerated person i.e., a Christian, obey the 10 commandments perfectly? Is it possible?
Please provide both and answer and some backing for your position.
