This thread could probably be moved to General Theology, if the OP wants a diverse discussion and set of answers. Perhaps the biggest issue with the removal of the Apochrya is that they were removed with no church council, no universal consent, and now many treat them like heretical books. This idea of "pick and choose" has lead to some Christians rejecting the Trinity, which is dangerous and unwise.
