I had a question about my posts in this forum.

I was informed by an Oriental-Orthodox brother that my posts defending MJ from critics on this forum were in violation of MJ rules.

Is this true?

Can someone explain the finer points of this rule? Provide a link?

If I do any rule breaking in this forum, can someone here please point it out to me immediately so that I can make sure I don't break any rules in the future?

Just saw this..

It is within the SOP that that if having a faith ICON other than Messianic, you have to have it within your own signature that you are Messianic somehow. Going to a shul is a good start for a lot of things, so one would need to clarify that somehow in their identification.

***Congregational Rule: Do not teach or debate in any Congregational Forum unless you are truly a member and share its core beliefs and teachings. Questions and fellowship are allowed, proselytizing is not.

Members who share beliefs between other denominations and MJ( practice MJ but also attend another church or congregation) can post with in the tenents of MJ doctrines and beliefs (careful to not teach about your other churches doctrine in MJ) by showing the MJ icon or if using the other Church's icon stating in their Siggy or Title that they are indeed MJ as well.

Without that, one cannot really teach or debate (even if defending MJs) since that opens the door for a lot of other things.

It depends on the type of posting that comes up as to whether or not it's cool - just as it also depends on what is or isn't reported. Some places that can be examined with regards to your posts would be here or here or here for verification ...or here:

• I agree with one thing you said here, they are...

• Torah observance is spreading through the Christian faith.
  
• Maybe Moses was invented by the Rabbis ?

If at the time those were made you were a member of the MJ Forum, it's all good. But if actively not being a member or sharing, then it's another gig.

I've been raised in a religious Jewish household but I always felt like I didn't belong, and MJ just seems to make so much sense to me. I think this forum could be so helpful for me, and i've read and agree to the new SOP

I am a Noahide. I'm in a unique situation here as I am neither Messianic nor Jewish but do observe Torah partially.

However, I do believe Messianic and non-Messianic gentile Torah observance are of the same cloth. Messianic Gentiles are Noahides and that's one of the reasons I joined- to have a place to discuss our religion with my fellow righteous gentiles as well as Jews.

I have also read the SOP and agree to it.

I agree as a poster as I attend a church and our church keeps the feasts and there is extensive teaching on Jewish matters as pertains to the context of many things in the bible.

Read the SOP's and agree. Not sure about the MJ label but I have been observing the Sabbath and Feast days for several years now so I guess that label is as good as any. I started a in-home group about a year ago and would gladly answer any questions regarding my faith and understanding of the scriptures.

Welcome... many are in the same boat as you, learning as we go. We all have got as far as you in the observance of Sabbath and the Feasts, it is the other stuff that we may differ on.

Yes, and though we may differ, I've found that it need not be a source of contention as I've experienced with so many others.

I agree to the SOP. I have been a member of CF since 2011, though I haven't posted much in this area. I don't think this thread was here at the time I would lurk here, so I don't think I ever really introduced myself...I have been a follower of Messiah and had been practicing some Torah observance at the time when I had first joined CF, though I still did not understand as much about it and have grown a lot in the past 4 years in my knowledge of it since then. I have been trying to keep Shabbat for the past 8 years and started observing the Holy days 2 years ago. I went through a dry spell of confusion and doubt in my faith more recently, but am finally getting back up on my feet and delving back into study.

Since I do not really know very many Messianics, I thought it would help to see others views on different things, so I hope to start being more active in this area of the forum, or at least keep track of the threads for now.
