This place is a hidden jem, Colin. Hardly anyone comes in here but that might be part of its charm.

Jeremy is playing a blinder in the campaign. He reminds me of Bernie Sanders in America. Do you think he will be the nest leader? The Blairites will have a fit if he does...;)

Things are looking that way .

The media will have a field day if he is elected , but the Labour Party should have the stamina and conviction to rise above it .

The Blairites seem to forget that New Labour lost in the last two elections .

Bernie Sanders.....is he the one who , in America of all places , dares to call himself a socialist ? ;)

I watched an LBC Labour debate from a few days ago. Corbyn won it hands down by espousing traditional views. Nothing off the wall. The other three were in a spin trying to make him seem a dinosaur. they all failed. Though Andy Burnham did come across as a halfway house candidate.

Some people used to say Obama would never be allowed to become president due t his race. But it turned out he was conformist who didn't rock the boat of the vested interests.

Bernie, on the other hand? Oh my, sadly, I cannot see him being allowed win, no matter the circumstances.

But its wonderfully refreshing to see the voice of the American working man and woman being heard.

He's revolutionising the Democrat Party up and down the country, bringing out record crowds everywhere he goes. :)

Corbyn could win. I wasn't too sure until yet another poll surfaced with Corbyn in the lead a couple of days ago.
I wouldn't state anything for certain, but I think either Cooper or Corbyn will be the next leader.

I'm a registered supporter, so I'll be voting for him as first preference.
I highly doubt any of the candidates could win in 2020 without the Conservatives making themselves very unpopular, but I think Corbyn outclasses his competitors in genuineness and charisma(not that he's especially charismatic).
He's the only candidate I can see able to pull the political zeitgeist at least a bit more to the left, helping Labour in the long run if not by 2020.

That is, assuming the party doesn't tear itself apart or find a way of removing him.
I do feel pretty sceptical of the chances of him being leader by the time 2020 comes 'round.
That's how I feel about things anyway.

Interesting video , Pete . Bernie Sanders deals with issues not with personalities .......Just like Jeremy Corbin . :)

I think we all have nightmares , Genersis , about how the Party behaved in the 1980s.

There is a long history of division leading to unpopularity . It occurred in Hugh Gaitskell's time . Then Harold Wilson was good at uniting the party , but not successful as a Labour Prime Minister .

If Jeremy Corbin is elected as leader , let's hope that the Party gets behind him because of his convictions , and not because there are control freaks manipulating every thought , word , deed and omission .

So.

They've started selling cider in my local supermarket.

QUICK PLEASE SOMEBODY COMPARE SOMETHING TO NAZIS.
It didn't before?!
Are your alcohol regulations formulated by alcohol hating Nazis or something?

A shop that doesn't sell cider, pah! What's the world coming to!

No, it just took us ages to get to the point where people wanted to drink anything other than white wine, red wine, and beer. But we're good now.

Swedish alcohol regulations are made up by Nazis, the stuff are only sold in special government owned stores and you have to be 20 to buy them. That's why I had a lot of fun with my parish's youth choir when we went to Rome when I was 17. Thank God for the Italians.

Cider is for beta males though - no offence man. Real men drink beer, whiskey and vodka. If you live in the UK where you have the best ale in the world there's simply no excuse for buying cider. ^_^
