Why "some" Christians reject the Jews, and the rest forgive them.

Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

NASB
Rom 11:28 From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers;

As it is written, Christians will regard the Jews enemies of the gospel because the Jews reject Christ.

Rom 11:28 (NASB)
"From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake"
KJV
"As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes"

But concerning the elect, they are still Gods elect, because of the promises between God and the forefathers of the Jews.

Rom 11:28 (NASB)
"but from the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers;"
KJV
"but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes."

If you are angry with the Jews for having Gods grace, but not accepting Christ, you might think twice about what God is doing, why he is using his chosen people, and what it means for how we as Christians view the Jews.

How about we show the Jews the same forgiveness Christ teaches us to have in our hearts.

Rom 11:31 so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy.

Rom 11:25 For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery--so that you will not be wise in your own estimation--that a partial hardening has happened to Israel (JEWS) until the fullness of the Gentiles (CHRISTIANS) has come in;

And what do you think is meant by the fullness of the Gentiles has come in?

Nice how you add to scripture that which was not put there by the holy inspired author.

Christian does not = Gentile.

The Christian Church is JEWISH, with gentiles grafted in.

Always has been, always will be.

What is read is sometimes not what was meant by the writer in its context. Paul makes this point in distinguishing between the spirit and the letter of the law. And Peter says that some unlearned distort Pauls (and likely Peters) æetters in the same way the do the old testament scriptures.

They still being elect for the father's sakes meant that those individuals who were alive in 60AD who had not believed the good news and trusted in the authority of Christ as the giver of the new covt, were not yet cast aside (just as Paul himself had initially disbelieved) but were still able to come to faith and leave mosaic covt judaism (and stop persecuting believers) and join the faith of the fathers (Abraham/Isaac/jacob who were NOT jews of the mosaic covt.

They could still do this before the salvation from persecution (deliverence) would come against them through the roman armies. Paul says, quoting deut 32:21, that some would come to believe through jealousy of the filling of Gods spirit in peoples from the nations outside of the house of Israel. The standard wss being set for life, for faith in Gods promised seed, his authority, truth and example (now having come) like Abraham through Jacob had.

Its not that the christians were at enmity against the jews but the other way around.

I have a blog article on this topic a fulfilledprophecystudies.wordpress.com Page down till you find it.

The Abrahamic and Davidic Covenants still stands, but Salvation is the same for Jews and Gentiles, only Jews who accept Yeshua are saved.

The fullness of the Abrahamic and Davidic covenant is in Christ.

Under the law, God's chosen were given a parcel of land in the Middle East.

Under grace, God's chosen will inherit the whole earth but not this earth, a New Earth.

Under the law, the Israelites rejected God as their king because they sought to be like the other nations. But their anointed kings were only human. 1 Sam. 8:6-7, 12:12-13,17

Under grace, Christ reigns on the Davidic throne now and His Kingdom is NOT OF THIS WORLD and He reigns forever and ever, eternal.

See how the law and old covenant only partially fulfills or only serves as a MERE shadow compared to what Christ gloriously completely fulfills.

The simple fact of the matter is that many today do exactly what the Apostle to the Gentiles warns them not to do..

..they willfully ignore the mystery pertaining to Israel and their temporary blindness until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in..

The god of this present evil world is going to make these simple verses say everything and anything but what they actually DO SAY in simplicity and in truth.

Shocker...this is "wrong headed" reading of the passage. You've totally lost the context.

The mystery of Israel is simply this God's redemptive plan is for all to be saved.

The Old Covenant was with the Jews. But the SEED of Abraham was chosen to bless the whole earth and that blessing was fulfilled in Christ. In that the Christ would be Jewish, through the Jews, of the Jews, for the Jews (and Gentiles).

The New Covenant was with the whole earth with no ethnic exclusiveness.

You Christian Zionists keep falling back on the Old Covenant forgetting what Jesus did for the Jews (and us).

Here's a crstal clear example of the rulers of this present evil world turning the truth into a lie..

It says nothing remotely close to what you say here.. and there's no interpretation required to embrace what the apostle to the Gentiles does actually say..

That Israel is blinded in part until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in..

That's what it says..

But then again, as we have all witnessed right before our eyes.. the scoffers will come in and say that it means something else entirely as they and their infallible ones are also duped into believing that they're wiser than all others.

In their own conceits of course..

Fullness = multitude of nations

In other words, a multitude of gentile nations will be grafted into the olive tree.

Thus all of (spiritual) Israel will be saved. A remnant of natural Israel will be saved too and remain on the olive tree.

Or try this..

Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled..

No changes..

Just read it and think upon it for a few decades..

Then when you get that one down.. maybe come back to this one..

Israel is blinded in part until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in..

Then think for a while without listening to anyone who might want you to believe that it means something else.. something different.

Just hear what it says..

Once again...

Anything but what it actually does say...

Try reading it really slow without changing anything..

That Israel is blinded in part until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in..

Try it..

It's not that difficult..

Unless your only purpose is to deny what it does actually say.

Go learn what the Jewish remnant is, it is right there in Romans 11:1-5. Written right before the olive tree analogy. The Jews aren't completely cut off of the olive tree.

Now will the Jews that believe in Christ remain a remnant until the second coming, only God knows.

But the Israel of God. The spiritual Israel will all be saved whether the Jews remain a remnant or not within that spiritual Israel, the Israel of God. Galatians 6:15-16.

Will the majority of Jews remain in disbelief until the Second Coming? IDK, but it is a possibility.

Oh I get it.. I first need to understand what the Jewish remnant is before I can understand this..

That Israel is blinded in part until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in..

Or that..

Jerusalem shall be troddwn down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled..

Or that..

The Lord shall not eat of the Passover or drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God shall come..

because let's face it.. I need to go learn what the Jewish remnant is first and then I will be able to deny the simple truth and at the same time understand that the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD was the culmination of everthing that the word of God has to say..

No thanks RP..

I know where you get your information..
