Why are Muslim men cowards?

This is from a tweet from the Peshmerga, which sums up the situation nicely.
"16000 Kurdish women stayed behind to fight ISIS,while millions of fighting age Arabs Syrian/Iraqi men fled from ISIS."
So Kurdish women are willing to fight about 40,000 militant, but millions of men can't. Quite frankly they are cowards leaving the fighting to women.

Does not say anything about Kurdish men fleeing. Sounds like any truth in the tweet (hardly a good news source) is that the Kurds have a much more defendable position and/or have no way to run.

For whatever this is worth.

It has been my experience that individual Muslim fighters who show up on battlefields such as Fallujah or Kunduz are not cowards. They may have been psychopaths, but it would be disingenuous to label them cowards. Bill Maher once made such a comment in regard to those flying the planes on 9-11, and suffered for his view. However he was correct.

Where the term does apply, in my opinion, is in the broader sense applied to Muslim terrorist groups or fighting units as a whole. When faced with what they have concluded is overwhelming force combined with the will to use it against them, they will back down. Because then and only then do you really have their attention.

I just love the apologists in this thread. The fact remains that million of men have fled the conflict zone and yet here we have an xample of thousands of women doing what the men should be doing. If that is not cowardice them I don't know what is.

Incidentally, there are many more Kurdish men fighting IS than there are Kurdish women. And those Kurdish men are Muslim men. Which kind of dismantles your whole thread.

Muslim men are brave or cowardly for the same reasons any other man or woman is brave or a coward.

I wish there were a lot more cowards in the Arab world because all these incredibly brave warriors slaughtering each other on the glorious battle fields of Iraq and Syria have been a real problem lately.

A desire to engage in combat for your sect or tribe is not a virtue.
