Donald Trump Jr. Claims Barack Obama Plagiarized His Unoriginal Line

Just when you thought all the charges (and counter-claims and fake news) regarding plagiarism at the national political conventions couldn't get any sillier, they did.

Now, Donald Trump Jr. is claiming that President Barack Obama's address at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) nicked a line from a speech that Trump Jr. had delivered at the Republican National Convention (RNC) the previous week:

Donald Trump Jr. said:
There’s so much work to do. We will not accept the current state of our country because it’s too hard to change. That’s not the America I know. We’re going to unleash the creative spirit and energy of all Americans. We’re going to make our schools the best in the world for every single American of every single ethnicity and background.

President Obama said:
What we heard was a deeply pessimistic vision of a country where we turn against each other, and turn away from the rest of the world. There were no serious solutions to pressing problems — just the fanning of resentment, and blame, and anger, and hate.

And that is not the America I know.

The Smithsonian is Hiring a Beer Historian at an Annual Salary of $64,000

The gig came with a decent salary ($64,650 a year) and curator Paula Johnson told the paper that "the museum is seeking someone who can 'focus and dedicate efforts towards research, documentation, and collecting American brewing history.'" The Brewers' Association is funding the initiative, and Johnson said the project aimed to document the history and cultural role of beer in the United States post-World War II....

Breitbart Duped by Fake News (Again)

On 1 July 2016, the notoriously unreliable Breitbart web site published an article based on "conservative icon" Sarah Palin's quipping that "paid anti-Trump protesters show presidential candidate Donald Trump is creating jobs even before taking office,"

And as usual, Breitbart had a problem with not being able to demonstrate that what they were reporting was actually true.

The quote Breitbart offered from the "Arizona protester [who] said he received $3,500 after answering a Craigslist ad that led to him protesting Trump’s Fountain Hills, Arizona rally" did not originate with a report from the legitimate ABC News outlet, but with a fake news article published on a fake news site that appropriated ABC News' trademarks to masquerade as a real news site.

4th Mysterious Death Connected to the DNC

The evidence-free, conspiracy theory linking of unrelated deaths into a large-scale nebulous political plot involving the Clintons continues unabated.

However, as is typical of this form of conspiracy theory, those four people had only the most tenuous and indirect of connections to Hillary Clinton, and the putative reasons offered for why they would supposedly need to be killed (if any reasons were offered at all) ranged from non-credible to erroneous.

Terrifying!

لا يوجد اي هدف لهذا النص الا نشر الرعب في نفوس من يهاب اللغة العربية

"The only goal of this text is to spread panic among those who fear the Arabic language."

Reminds me of the story about the guy who got some Asian symbols tattooed on his arm because he thought they looked cool and no doubt imparted some sage, esoteric wisdom.

Turns out that it said "Made in Korea".
