How do you 'walk in the Spirit?'
Thanks for that,' bithiah',i believe that we do that by doing our best to obey God's Word on a daily basis. it is all over the Bible as to how to do that. Ps. 119 says "order my steps in your Word so that i do not fall into evil", in the Lord's prayer it says lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, and so on. i believe that is how we walk in the spirit. it is not mystical but practical. when we forgive, when we pray for our enemies, when we share what we have with others, that is walking in the spirit, so we won't do the opposite, which is doing whatever our flesh wants to do instead.

By being submitted to God's will, spending time in the Word and in prayer, by "dying daily" to our flesh. Not as easy as it sounds, but doable. How do you 'walk in the Spirit?'
Thanks ,cyber! Which translation do you use?how can we walk in the spirit.... simply by not walking after the desires of the flesh.
not doing what we want, but doing what HaShem would have us do.
Thanks,'abbey,'By being submitted to God's will, spending time in the Word and in prayer, by "dying daily" to our flesh. Not as easy as it sounds, but doable.
i tend to use either the jewish new testament by david stern, or a nkjv .Thanks ,cyber! Which translation do you use?
so true no one said it would be easy but it is a journey and one i am glad i am on!By being submitted to God's will, spending time in the Word and in prayer, by "dying daily" to our flesh. Not as easy as it sounds, but doable.
It's tremendous being led by the Word of God,under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Whenbwe 'walk in the Spirit we do the Will of God!I think the verses already quoted that emphesis being lead by the Holy Spirit are where to focus. If Hosea had been just following what the Mosaic law said I doult he would have married a prositute or understood what God was trying to illustrate in doing so. But when we know God's written word and then let the Holy Spirit lead us we walk in the Spirit. Its my understanding if we just concentrate on reading the Bible and doing what is in it we can miss where the Spirit would lead us just like the Pharisees did.
