CNN didn't report fake news, though I have lost some respect for them with the whole Donna Brazil thing and the Van Jones tirade about "white lash".

With that said, CNN reported accurately. Now whether these alleged claims that Russia has certain goods on Trump is true, will come out in time. I am leaning towards them being bogus, but I could be wrong. This ex British spy that put this stuff together based on political groups seeming to hire him to do so is interesting. It would appear, this British spy would have to rely on his contacts in Russia to put this stuff together. Has anyone thought of the possibility that Russia fed this guy false information on purpose, knowing the media would blow it up and go after Trump? Then, when Russia knew it would eventually be found out to be false, it would only strengthen Trumps position against the media?

Agreed she had a valid question on this issue which she brought to the forefront

And when was that, precisely?

MSNBC and FOX tell us in the video posted earlier that she had started it in 2008. Trump began to question the same afterwards in the other video posted shown in an interview about it in 2011

Sounds like you believe the mainstream media without checking for yourself when she actually said it.

No not always, the date in the one is 2008 (no month given) in another its 2007-2008 which is typical when speaking of the campaign itself, in this case the Hillary Campaign.

Here, on March 19, 2017 Mark Penn, who is the architect of the Hillary Clinton Campaign is writing to Senator Clinton gathering together how to proceed concerning Obama here

Mark writes as if common knowledge between them here

3190133

The Muslim rumors are already circulating and thereafter would circulate a photo of Obama dressed in the garb that caused the stir at the time, which is said to be of his visit to Kenya soon after in the Guardian here

Clinton aides claim Obama photo wasn't intended as a smear

A clip of the headline are Clinton aides claims

3190130

So we read there of what is circulating concerning Obama already, that he is a muslim (which is a an ideology) and not a race (as Mark Penn in the Clinton acknowledges that Obama is black also in respects to that being a plus (in the same letter). But as far as "what could hold him back"? he wrote again, that it was his lack of American roots. So without saying there began circulating this photo which played right into the claims (said to be false) that Obama was a Muslim, and Kenya comes to the surface.

It originated with her campaign 2007-2008

Clinton aides (even as the headline suggests) make the claim the photo was not intended as a smear. The architect of Hillarys campaign names what could hold Obama back and goes after his lack of American roots.

And Breitbart (see link below) points out that it was Hillary's supporters, not even Hillary, or her campaign (according to the available information) which began circulating the actual rumor that Obama was born aboard

Writing, " One, Philip J. Burg, filed one of the more notable lawsuits challenging Obama’s Democratic Party nomination (dismissed for lack of standing)"

Original Birther Hillary Falsely Accuses Breitbart of Birtherism

So you can see the progression and how it come about as MSNBC (a more left leaning media outlet) and Fox (a more right leaning media outlet) agree in the matter through the two videos previously posted.

The same mentioned here

3190198

You might not prefer to read Breitbart (and thats fine) but it mentions the same things and gives the links , I provided the videos for the two networks (excluding Chris Matthews from Hardball) and followed the rabbit trails as are laid out.

After it began in 2008 with the Kenya picture circulated by the Clinton aids (and by the time Obama would run again) in 2012 the Kenya theme emerges once more (and this just around the year Trump began to look into this more which was more precisely a little earlier, around 2011.)

3190209

Which stated Born in Kenya (where the picture was supposedly taken) which the Clinton aids had begun to circulate after Mark Penn's letter to Clinton about what could hurt him (in respects to his lack of American roots).

However, this is excused to be a simple cleric fact checking error said the Blaze here

Literary Agent Responds to ‘Born in Kenya’ Obama Bio: ‘Nothing More Than a Fact Checking Error’

Trumps issue is not the where Obama was born (as he stated in the video provided) it was about the document. The issue of where he was born (or lacking American roots) originated out of the Clinton campaign. Which is shown in the Architect of her Campaign's strategic letter, and Clinton's aids having been the ones to begin circulating the picture of Obama in Kenya which is followed up by a Hillary supporter, Philip J. Burg being the one to bring the lawsuit on the basis of so much. It was born out of her Campaign, thats where the issue come to the surface and at each place Its either Mark Penn (Hillary's Campaign architect) Hillary aids, or Hillary supporters.

Trump is less about that and about the fraudulent legal document, thats why Trump could just state a belief that counts for absolutely nothing (at all) that Obama was born in the U.S (he knows what he states regarding that only means something to the folks barking about it, but that wasn't his issue (even back in 2011) as the video shows, to him its about legal documentation, and how that was rolling out (back then) as it was later.

The issue of "where" Obama was born originated within her own campaign.

The "legality of" the document itself is that which Trump is looking at not the place of birth.

I'd rather hear such talk from her, not about her.

Again, hearing a lot of talk about her campaign, nothing from it.

Sounds like Penn floated the idea to Clinton, but there's nothing to indicate she ever used it.

It originated with her campaign 2007-2008

Sound like even Breitbart agrees... Clinton was not behind it.

Unless we now hold candidates responsible for their followers' actions... a move which could backfire drastically in One Nation Under Trump.

When a news report say, "Russia has said today"... do you believe the land in Russia actually opens its mouth and begins wagging its tongue to speak?

I doubt it.

The sources are posted, and the distinctions were made, both between the allegations of Obama being Muslim (religion) showing in the present the 2008 rumors circulating at that time, and then Mark Penn (the architect of Hillary's campaign in the letter to her) bringing in (in his own words) Obama's lack of American roots (in respects to his place of birth). This is opposed his race (black) which Penn also acknowledges (in the plus column) in the strategic letter.

There is Clinton (Top) the manager (Penn, The builder of the base through the ideas proposed based on the weaknesses and strengths of opponent) and the unnamed aids (which assist under the guidance of the same) and the supporters (voters) which like Burg (who carried one of the more notable lawsuit's against Obama on this).

It become an issue here at this time (the movement, shown from the top down) Hillary was aware of it (as the letter was addressed to her) her aids went ahead (as they are noted doing) with the picture, "it stuck", the movement itself began to take root. This is what they are talking about.

So each was identified, shows Hillary's Campaign, and in a time when rumors were already swirling concerning him being a Muslim (in respects to his religion) so that the idea (lack of American roots, as a negative for him) is shown coming out from the very architect of Hillary Clinton's campaign. That is where you find the idea (or seed) between even this man and woman followed up by her children (Clinton aids) who in turn are being blamed (even by Obama) for sending out that picture of himself in Kenya which all began to sow the first seeds of doubt into her own base (or camp/supporters) in respects to whether or not Obama (the candidate running against her) was even born in this country. Lawsuits were then taken up by them (her own). After Hillary lost to Obama some forget about it, with others it stuck, they still had questions they wanted answers, it began at that time (it was brought forth) or born there.

This is where the birther movement come in, which pertains to the question as to where (which country) Obama was born, Trump on the other hand become more investigative concerning the legal document. The people would get the two ideas/pursuits confused. Hillary being an Attorney would know this, I believe she knew her base wouldn't, she threw him a bone, just say he was born in the U.S (Trump did so) because they weren't catching the difference between questioning where a person was born versus having other questions concerning the millions being spent to hide something in respects to the document itself which doesn't necessarily mean you are hiding your age or even place of birth but perhaps something else. Either way, being a legal document (if fraudulent) carries legal penalties.

Trump just come up behind in what was introduced before his running who had began investigating this around 2011, but the birther stuff (or where Obama was born) or "non Americana" stuff come as by her own. So it had it's roots in Hillary's camp in 2007-2008 while they (now, in this same year Trump was running) were giving him a hard time calling him birther (but is not really, not in the same sense) and were forgeting this all started in her camp.

Yeah, he certainly wasn't involved at all prior to the birth certificate being released....
"He doesn't have a birth certificate, or if he does, there's something on that certificate that is very bad for him. Now, somebody told me -- and I have no idea if this is bad for him or not, but perhaps it would be -- that where it says 'religion,' it might have 'Muslim.' And if you're a Muslim, you don't change your religion, by the way."

Oops for what? The video I posted shows Trump WAS involved before the birth certificate was released since he was arguing about "the certificate of live birth" which he was saying wasnt the same thing as "the birth certificate" that come out later, and that was his argument in the video I posted.

As long as we're in agreement that Hillary Clinton did not come up with the idea, nor was it promoted with her approval.

Yes. It was actually. It was dropped fast after the Geraldine Ferraro backlash from her comments.
