10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ~2 Peter 1: 2-11
Are you a healthy Christian? Peter was very adamant about what qualities you needed to maintain a healthy spiritual life (see v. 5-7). He states that by having these qualities, you will bear fruit (see v. 8).
One of the hardest things as humans is to show brotherly kindness and brotherly love. Let’s make today different. Today, when you pass someone you hardly know or even if you don’t know them-smile & say hello. This could be the beginnings of a great friendship or leading someone to our loving Savior. Don’t let an opportunity pass you by.

:prayer: Father, we thank You for every opportunity to be friendly to someone today. We ask that you give us boldness to overcome our own shyness. We ask that we are able to bless those that need it with an encouraging Word today. Father, it is my prayer that none of us miss an opportunity to minister the Gospel to someone in need, and that your Holy Spirit speaks through us. Help us to recognize and walk in the calling You have placed on our lives and to be faithful to all aspects of the ministry. We thank You for the strength each day to stay focused on You, and to remain on the narrow path. We give You all the Glory and Honor. In Jesus’ loving name, Amen.:prayer:

Good Morning, Brothers and Sisters! It is my prayer this morning that you are rested and spiritually prepared. I pray that you have met with the Lord this morning and are ready for the path before you this day!

Yesterday we touched on brotherly love. It’s hard to love people we don’t know, let alone love someone we don’t like. And yet, Jesus did it! He came to this earth and loved everyone. To have that kind of love for people! John 3: 16 talks about how much God loved the world-He sent His one and only son to die for us! Paul talks about the importance of love in 1 Corinthians 13 “ 1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

He also says in 1 Corinthians 16: 14 “Let all that you do be done with love.”

Today, I challenge each and every one of you to put aside your human emotions regarding people, and to ask Christ to give you His! Speak to someone today, share the love of Christ!

17So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.
20You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. 21Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
25Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold. 28He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
1Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children 2and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. ~Ephesians 4: 17- 5: 2

How are you living outside the walls of the Church? Have you put off your old self? Have you changed your ways? Do you speak to others and edify and encourage? Are you an imitator of God?

Father, we thank You for another day in which to live and share Your Word with those who don’t know it. We thank you for the work that You have done in our lives and for the work that You are doing in our loved ones lives and for the love that You show us. We ask today that You help us to put off our old selves, and to forgive us for any sin that we have committed by keeping our old self around. Help us to become completely new, and to exhibit that newness, to be the shining light that You have called us to be. Help us to control our speech, and to release the bitterness and anger that we may be harboring. Reveal it to us, if it is something that we are unaware that we are holding on to. Father, today we ask for Your eyes, for Your heart, and for Your Spirit to fill us and guide us. All the glory and honor is Yours! In the precious and loving name of Jesus, Amen!

1 Hear the word of the LORD,

For the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land:

Do you know God? Do you know His character? Have you spent time in His Word? Have you spent time with Him? If someone were to ask you what is God like; who is He; what would you say to them?
Man cannot live by bread alone (Deut. 8: 3) but by every Word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. To live on God’s Word is to have knowledge of Him. It’s to anticipate how He would respond to some of your questions. It’s so that we are able to accept His correction because it’s done out of love. It’s time to wean yourself off milk (see 1 Corinthians 3: 1-2) and start to chew the meat of God’s Word and become knowledgeable of Him, learn His character, learn who He is. Stop waiting for someone to give you God’s Word and open up the Word of God for yourself and dive in! Whatever you are seeking, it is there!

Are you hungry? Feed yourself on God’s Word.
Are you lonely? Speak to God, and He will speak to you.
Are you depressed? There is encouragement and peace in the Word of God.
Are you battling something? The Word of God is a weapon greater than any other.
Are you anxious? Read God’s Word.

TODAY’S BIBLE TREASURE

57 Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.”
58 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

Are you fit for the kingdom of God? Are you looking back as you follow Jesus? Are you still trying to live your old life? Well turn around and face the front! There is nothing new and exciting behind you!
2 Corinthians 5: 17 says: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” Jesus also said that no one pours new wine into old wineskins, or the old wineskin will burst (see Mark 2: 22 & Luke 5: 37). We are new creations, new wine!
1“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. ~John 15: 1-5
Shake off that old man, put on the new! Let yourself be poured into a new wineskin with Jesus! Let Him mold you, conform you, use you. Allow Him to take complete control. Give yourself over to the vinedresser for pruning, you will never regret it!

4As you come to Him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him— 5you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6For in Scripture it says:

11Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. 12Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. ~1 Peter 2: 4-12

We are now the people of God. What a powerful statement! How is your life among the pagans? Are you setting a Christly example, or are you still trying to live in a manner pleasing to man? What would they say about you?
We are the people of God, we need to be living as such. We are to be holy examples. 1 Peter 1: 15-19 says “15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

Do you have a servants heart? Are you willingly serving out of love, or are you serving because you want to be noticed, to earn points, to become great? Do you feel that what you do is enough, and you don't need to do anymore?
Where are you on your walk? Are your motives pure?

Father, thank You for another day to share Your love and Word with the lost souls. Help us to recognize Your call to serve, not only our brothers and sisters, but those outside the Body of Christ, so that You may be glorified. Give us pure hearts, reveal to us our true motives for serving. If any of us are serving in areas that You have finished using us in, help us to graciously move on. Holy Spirit, teach us how to be humble. Use us today, Lord to serve You. For Your Word states that "whatever we have done to the least of these, we have done to You." (Matthew 25: 40) In Jesus' name, Amen.

Are you truly free?? What are you walking in? If you are still fulfilling the lusts of the flesh, you are still wearing a yoke of bondage. Christ died so you could be free! Claim your freedom! Give this day over to the Lord and let the Spirit lead you!

Jesus is coming, are you ready?

How are you living? What are you focusing on? There are so many Christians out there that are focused on the things of this world, instead of on Christ, worried about what others will think of them if they do this or do that. Well, we can't worry about what man thinks, we need to worry about what God thinks. We need to learn to be content with the things we have, so our focus is not on what the world can give us. Philippians 4: 12 says "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." Are you content? To be content is to focus on Jesus and know that no matter the circumstances, we will be provided for because He love us, and He died for us. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." When we feel as though we don't matter, and we don't have the strength to go on, that is when Jesus takes over. But He has to be the center of our focus, He can't be something that we just latch on to only when we are feeling down. To be in Christ is to be IN CHRIST! To let Him drive, to let Him speak, to let Him use us. Dead is the person we used to be, stop trying to resurrect the dead!

Jesus is coming, are you ready?

We need to live according to
What God wants us to live and
If we obey Him, then all else will
Fall into place! Very hard to do
When you have the world around you
But the Lord is eternal but the world
Is temporarily!
