The york of Christ

[2 Corithinans 6:14]; Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness?and what communion has light with darkness?

There are two kinds of yokes that the scriptures open our eyes to. There is the yoke of Christ and the yoke of men.

The place of unequal yoking with men was the place where the Christian submitted himself to the belief, thought and system that he was equal to a non believer. This is the reason why people in Church are competing not only against themselves but more regrettably against the world.

The yoke you carry will always determine how a man labours and what he labours for.Why do Christians labour at their work places like non believers do? Why do they work for years and yet find at the end of their lives they were always stuck in a rut? It is all about yoking. What you submit to is what must control you.

They submitted themselves to the systems of this world and as such labour for the world like those of the world. It is easier for that Christian to work late because they must beat a deadline but can never seek to extend his time in the presence of God.

It is easy for him to report very early to work because he must please his boss but drag his feet to church because he is not yoked to the Christ he must labour with.

Only the yoke of Christ will cause you to labour for the kingdom. You are yoked with Christ, child of God. Because you are, that yoke causes you to labour in the rest and to labour for what trully matters.
