[Matthew 6:2]; Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets that they may have the glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Glory, by nature, always and I repeat, always carries a weight to it. Vanity in glory is where it is void; empty of weight. What makes it vain glory is that it is the glory of men and not of God.
What then is the weight of glory? It is the degree of manifestation of God in a place; in a situation; in a circumstance. It is what the scriptures have called the reward.

Now, the Greek word used for glory in the reference scripture is doxazo(to render glorious). The root word is doxa(All that God is and God has). There is a reason why the spirit defines glory here as a doxazo experience and not by its root of doxa as is the case in other scriptures. Why? The word 'hupo' used for 'of' is actually translated as being under something higher.

This then is a place where that which is of God is subjected to a man as a higher power. In such a place, the man easily dissipates the spirit of God because 'the rendering glorious' is actually a human effort to create doxa.

He will demonstrate the spirit when God has told him to simply worship. He will seek to perform a miracle when God has asked him to simply preach. He will worship when God has asked him to stay silent. All this will be empty of weight because the weight is measured by the degree of our ministration to men in accordance to the mind and purpose of God.
