The bible is filled with the promises of the Lord. We can see in scriptures the love he has for us. We can see the beauty of Christ. It is everywhere if we know where to look for it. 
The day that I accepted the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ I did not note any immediate change. However, the next morning when I awoke I saw the world with a new set of eyes and heard the world through a new set of ears. My heart had most definitely made a change. I have read the bible from cover to cover but, only today was I led to a small verse that speaks with such volume to me:
Psalm 126:5
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Upon looking at this verse I found it to be one of the most beautiful promises of God. It also brings a whole new aspect to what I go through each and every day. Along with everything I went through before. According to this verse I will be drowning in joy later on. I can hardly wait! I want to be totally consumed by the love of Christ.
