Many post-tribbers say that the pre-trib rapture doctrine is destructive of godly living. They say that it makes men careless, feeling no need to prepare to face the troubles of the tribulation.
Pre-tribbers, on the other hand, feel that the post-trib, along with the mid-trib and pre-wrath positions are morally destructive. They point out that if there is anything that must happen before Christ comes to take us away, then He will most definitely NOT come today or tomorrow. They feel that this persuasion makes men careless. They point out that if men are persuaded that He will not come today or tomorrow, they have a reduced fear of doing wrong, for the hour of judgment (they think) will not come until later.
Both sides argue that the view of the other is destructive, and therefore "of the Devil."
Which result is more destructive? Having no fear of having to face tribulation, or having no fear of possibly having to immediately face the "Judge of all the earth."
I leave the readers to judge.
Some say the pre-trib view will make men believe the lie of the antichrist. This is ridiculous. Anyone with enough knowledge of Bible prophecy to even have a view on the timing of the rapture, knows that when the Lord comes in power, there will be no question that it has happened. It will be "as when the lightning cometh from the east ans shineth unto the west." They know that if anyone has to tell them that it happened, it has not happened.
No one who has really trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior will be deceived by the Antichrist, for we are told that he will be so deceitful that he would deceive the very elect "IF IT WERE POSSIBLE." This shows that it would not be possible to deceive them.
