The Internet dying?

This could be used in war for sure imagine a sniper being able to kill soldiers shooting them through trees and even inside vehicles by pinpointing their heart thus not having to spray bullets hoping for a hit.

Yes. Unfortunately, I didn't see soldiers as the targets.

Precisely why, along with privacy concerns, I dropped it.

The principle was given way back in Genesis:

And the LORD said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. -Gen 11:6​

It's once again going toward total control. And since man's heart has not been changed, that's ultimately not going to be a good thing.
