The Global Flood as You've Never Seen It!

No, it's narrated by Morgan Freeman with Mel Gibson as Noah!

"You have the right to remain drowned"

Jesus said, "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be when the Son of Man comes"

Warning was given of judgement to come: Noah preached it 40 years & no-one but his own family believed

Then believers were removed to safety before the judgement fell

Only now - in the light of 2 Peter 3, Revelation 20, etc..

"You have the right to remain in everlasting, conscious torment in the Lake of Fire"

& that's even worse than Armageddon, for which the stage is so clearly being set

The only Ark of salvation now is the sheer grace of God, via faith in Christ's once-for-all sacrifice at Calvary, as per John 3, Romans 3, Galatians 2:15-16, Ephesians 2:8-9 etc

"Don't be deceived: God is not mocked - you will reap what you sow" - Galatians 6:7

Better question: What on Earth is he doing putting a huge water/ice canopy around the Earth in the first place? What good could it possibly do besides providing him an avenue to punish mankind later on?

It created a tropical paradise, where atmospheric pressure was such that a cut would heal far faster than now, per Dr Henry Morris classic, Noah's Ark & The Genesis Flood

I took several A4 pages of notes from Howard Conder's interview with John McKay, International Director of Creation Research

But I only have 2 mins: John is at Westminster Chapel, London @ 6pm tonight

Anyone see him there at 11am?

Irish MPs want a presentation & he's keen to talk to UK MPs

Lobby at www.parliament.uk

Must go

Happy Sunday, y'all!

So? Yet another large local flood being misused by Creationists as if it were evidence of a global flood.

Same old, same old.

Is mocking the same as finding something to be unbelievable?

Right. And that's why "flood geologists" claim there was a massive ice age right after the flood. Sure that make sense (not).

This is actually evidence against a Global flood and certainly not evidence for it. Let's look at the abstract of Gupta's paper in Nature

Catastrophic flooding origin of shelf valley systems in the English Channel
Sanjeev Gupta1, Jenny S. Collier1, Andy Palmer-Felgate1 & Graeme Potter2
Abstract
Megaflood events involving sudden discharges of exceptionally large volumes of water are rare, but can significantly affect landscape evolution, continental-scale drainage patterns and climate change1. It has been proposed that a significant flood event eroded a network of large ancient valleys on the floor of the English Channel—the narrow seaway between England and France2, 3, 4. This hypothesis has remained untested through lack of direct evidence, and alternative non-catastrophist ideas have been entertained for valley formation5, 6. Here we analyse a new regional bathymetric map of part of the English Channel derived from high-resolution sonar data, which shows the morphology of the valley in unprecedented detail. We observe a large bedrock-floored valley that contains a distinct assemblage of landforms, including streamlined islands and longitudinal erosional grooves, which are indicative of large-scale subaerial erosion by high-magnitude water discharges. Our observations support the megaflood model, in which breaching of a rock dam at the Dover Strait instigated catastrophic drainage of a large pro-glacial lake in the southern North Sea basin2. We suggest that megaflooding provides an explanation for the permanent isolation of Britain from mainland Europe during interglacial high-sea-level stands7, and consequently for patterns of early human colonisation of Britain together with the large-scale reorganization of palaeodrainage in northwest Europe4.

I don't have access to the full paper yet but here is what Wikipedia says about it.

However, a new study by Gupta et al. (2007)[2] [3] suggests that the formation of the English Channel was formed not by gradual erosion, but by erosion caused by two major flooding events. The first was about 425,000 years ago, when an ice-dammed lake in the southern North Sea overflowed and broke the Weald-Artois chalk range in a catastrophic erosion and flood event. Afterwards, the Thames and Scheldt flowed through the gap into the English Channel, but the Meuse and Rhine still flowed northwards. In a second flood about 225,000 years ago the Meuse and Rhine were ice-dammed into a lake which broke catastrophically through a high weak barrier (perhaps chalk, or an end-moraine left by the ice sheet). Both floods cut massive flood channels in the dry bed of the English Channel, somewhat like what is seen in the Channeled Scablands in the USA.

You should be able to read a review HERE.

The main points here are that the two catastrophic floods that are hypothesized to have affected the formation of the English Channel and the multiple catastrophic floods of Glacial Lake Missoula that formed the Channeled Scablands are very rare events but can be identified by geologists. These so-called megafloods left behind evidence of their occurance. In the case of the Missoula floods there is a lot evidence. If there really had been a worldwide catastrophic mega-flood that lasted a year and rearranged all the world's geology there should be abundant evidence of it nearly everywhere but there is no evidence of it anywhere.
