Good morning folks. It's morning where I am, sun is almost up and it is 07:10. Shortest day is approaching.

i used to love ordering a short stack and 2 eggs over easy for breakfast. I would put the eggs between the two pancakes and have a yummy breakfast.

The news here reported that 62% of the vote was in favour of same sex marriages in the Irish referendum. And with a turnout of more than 60% of the eligible 3.6 million voters that means that about 1,339,200 voters said yes and 820,800 voted no. It looks like the vote was quite definitive. I wonder how the Catholic Church in Ireland will respond to such a significant change in civil marriage laws.

I've been taking a break from tv and watching some of my video collection.
I just finished watching the Cadfael series about a fictional medieval monk who lived during the war between King Stephen and the usurper Maud (both cousins) who fought over the throne of England.
Cadfael was the herbalist for his order of Benedictines, and a pretty good sleuth on the side.
Lots of great history, scenery, village life, and chanting during the stories.

My groceries arrived and now I am thinking that a ham, cheese, and tomato sandwich will go down well

I'll be getting a re-stock on groceries today as well.
I wish my groceries were as well-trained as yours are! I have to fetch my own,
which means zipping around the store and piling up my cart well.
But before i do that i'm giving myself a treat and taking myself out to breakfast for a change. i think.
at least that's the intent.
