Didn't see an existing thread on this but is anyone else familiar with this theory? Like Einsteins theory of Relativity, it relates several theories of energy (like gravity, electromagnetic etc.). But the cool thing is, this could completely explain the spiritual world because it demands that there are other "dimensions" that coincide with ours. There is a really cool NOVA show that gets real detailed on the theory and you can watch the whole 3 hour show online here (it's not told from a christian perspective but you can totally see how this would explain things unseen and maybe how God has everything put together):

I'm certainly far from being any kind of expert on string theory. However, there are some speculative varieties of string theory, e.g. that gravity should not be bound by the speed og light. That is, if there is more than one universe, two universes could affect each other through gravity, but not be visible from each other. This - PURELY SPECULATIVE - theory might be used to explain some observances, e.g. som skewness in planet orbits, there is a time lag between the sun's gravity and the sun light. This also has implications for estimating the size and age of the universe. But I don't kow enough to gauge whether there is anything or nothing in this :)

Still, it does not imply that God might be hiding out somewhere - God is not physical, son string theory has no theological impact.
