Set Like Flint
Karen Holland ... 10-7-06
Lion of Judah
Hear His song
Mighty warrior
King of Glory
Rise and stand
Stand in the face of the enemy
Stand at the gate
Face set like flintTriumph over every foe
Lamb of God
Hear His song
Humble servant of all
Poured out as a drink offering
Obedient to the point of death
The perfect sacrifice
Face set like flint
At the joy set before
Death swallowed up in victory
I hear your song, Lord Jesus
The song of the Lion and the Lamb
Teach me how to follow Your example
A humble servant to all
Yet a mighty warrior, strong and bold in the Lord
The Lion and the Lamb
Help me to always bend willingly
But also to boldly, courageously take the lead
My face set like flint whenever I must
Let us shoulder to shoulder together stand
Thank You for never rebelling or drawing back
Earning salvation for us
And endless glory for Yourself.
Isaiah 50:4-8
The Lord GOD has given Me
The tongue of the learned,
That I should know how to speak
A word in season to him who is weary.
He awakens Me morning by morning,
He awakens My ear
To hear as the learned.
The Lord GOD has opened My ear;
And I was not rebellious,
Nor did I turn away.
I gave My back to those who struck Me,
And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard;
I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.
For the Lord GOD will help Me;
Therefore I will not be disgraced;
Therefore I have set My face like a flint,
And I know that I will not be ashamed.
He is near who justifies Me;
Who will contend with Me?
Let us stand together.
Who is My adversary?
Let him come near Me.
Isaiah 12:2
Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.
