Saddam possessed tons and tons of yellowcake uranium and admitted after capture that he planned on restarting his nuclear weapons program. Why wasn't this all over the news?
It was all over NewsMax, FrontPage, WND and those sort. Everyone already knew that he wanted to restart his nuclear programme, but that he had been prevented from doing so by the UN sanctions. He had no programme, no means of starting one, no means of delivering a weapon and he was unable to obtain more yellowcake. He was described as a "toothless tiger", vicious but unable to vent his wrath on other nations since Bush père crippled him.

Bush's, “Facing clear evidence of peril, we cannot wait for the final proof, the smoking gun that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud”, was pure fear-mongering.

As for the yellowcake he had, it was not weapons grade, it was well-known that he had it and it was sealed by the IAEA. This was part of what the UN inspections covered.

Yes, I also mentioned this. Funny that no matter how much the truth of the yellow cake already accounted for before the war, they continue to use it as proof for WMD's? Incredible.

That's OK, I can understand that, but even untrusted sources have accurate information at least often enough so that I don't dismiss it out of hand. At least I try to make that the way I go, and, of course sometimes fail.:)
Some sites have such a history of distortion and outright deceit that they are essentially worthless as sources of anything other than rumor. With those, it is not beyond bias and into outright lies. Even direct quotes are edited and twisted.

You're correct that you can't dismiss everything out of hand, but you also can't rely on anything some sites say. Even trusted sources should be double-checked, but at least start with a decent source.

Did anyone even read the article in the OP? It doesn't even come close to offering any new evidence that WMDs were transported to Syria except speculation and unverifiable claims. While we're at it, this:

WikiLeaks Show WMD Hunt Continued in Iraq – With Surprising Results

By late 2003, even the Bush White House’s staunchest defenders were starting to give up on the idea that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. But WikiLeaks’ newly-released Iraq war documents reveal that for years afterward, U.S. troops continued to find chemical weapons labs, encounter insurgent specialists in toxins and uncover weapons of mass destruction.
is laughable. Read the actual reports linked in the article. They found a few rusty shells leaking chemicals buried in the sand next to a ditch, and the insurgent specialists were just that-foreign fighters to help the insurgency handle chemical weapons for use against the occupation troops, not Saddam's former experts.

Why would Saddam Hussein give his WMDs to Syria?

I don't think he was "giving" them to Syria as much as he was trying to keep them from being discovered by UN inspectors. We knew he had them at one time since he did use chemical weapons on the Kurds. But his little ploy worked. To this day, most liberals still parrot the false propaganda that there were no WMD's.

Unless you assume he managed to smuggle tons of ammunition and equipment into Syria without the knowledge of the Syrian authorities, I don't think they would have willingly given the US a reason to invade Iraq first and their own country next.

There were no WMDs in usable condition in Iraq that could have posed a threat to either the US or its allies.

For what purposes could it have been used? Could it have been turned into weapons grade?

Who said anything about "smuggle"? Syria would have willingly accepted the weapons.

At the risk of being bombed and invaded? What makes you so sure Assad would do that?

I don't know; apparently, it wasn't even good enough for dirty bombs.

Could it have been turned into weapons grade?
Possibly, from what I've been able to glean, with a centrifuge, additional better uranium and a programme - none of which he had. It seems similar to someone having a hunk of iron ore and being accused of having a deadly weapon.

I am not pro-war, yet I'll let history ultimately decide whether the war was a mistake. What is Iraq ends up being a better, freer country than before we invaded?

That or a Shiite lead Islamic Republic that is allied with Iran but hey I guess anything is possible.^_^

When is that going to be the case, exactly? Iraq has been on the list of Fund for Peace's list of failed states for five consecutive years now and is listed again for 2010.

Right. Anyone still clinging to hope that there was a legitimate reason to invade Iraq this late in the game is obviously too far gone in the propaganda to be reached.
