I think Michael is another name for Jesus for several reasons:
Before the incarnation Jesus didn't have the name Jesus and Michael which means 'one who is like God' in hebrew was probably his name. He would have also had a form similiar to the angels before his incarnation.
Jude alludes to the fact that Michael resurrected the body of Moses and only God can bring the dead back to life.
In Daniel, Michael is said to be Daniel's prince implying worship. We are supposed to worship God not other angels.
And in Rev. 12 the army of good angels are said to belong to Michael. All the company of angels belong to God with Jesus being the head. Therefore Michael (Jesus) and his angels fought against the Dragon (Satan) and his angels.
