Mall safety,
This was the biggest mall in the state.
How many police and security would be a good number for security?
This man walked into the mall and fired as fast as he could. Only a person with a gun could have stopped this, and they would have to be up close to the shooter.
Maybe mall security could have been better, but could it have saved even one life?
A rifle bullet can go through up to 3 people, let alone
how many rounds this guy fired.
I think it could have been alot worse.
Should we have metal detectors at mall entrances?
Of course, how secure are the metal detectors?
Someone wanting to kill could easily kill the person monitoring and go in, or just shoot the people in the crowd waiting to go in.
Many places with security seem to be more interested in protecting the "safe area" then the people that are compacted at the check points.
Where else in any event are there so many people packed together then at the check point? Maybe concessions during halftime or intermission, but probably not.
Security is not an easy task.
