SACRAMENTO – A Sacramento pastor could spend the rest of his life behind bars for molesting a 13-year-old boy at a library. Superior Court Judge Michael Kenny sentenced Frederick Deshawn Dew on Friday to 15 years to life in prison for aggravated sexual assault

BRADENTON - A former first grade teacher who earlier this year admitted he molested a 15-year-old boy, was sentenced today to a year in jail and five years of sex-offender probation . . .

States need to get some consistency in sentencing. One year to life all depending is not justice. Give them all five years mandatory than tack on five more if they are in a position of trust such as a Boy Scout leader, a teacher, a member of the clergy.

Good. Let's go after these people. Sentences are often too light. Here is a case in which 4 boys were molested. The sentence? 21 months.

One state may take action. Its bill to enhance penalities is here.

I vehemently agree.
