According to Galatians 2:13, there were several Jews at this congregation.

The issue is not what they were eating. The issue was breaking bread at the same table with a Gentile.

This is a well-known fact concerning this old Jewish custom. You can try and squeeze blood out of a turnip all you like, but it won't make your point anymore valid.

1 Corinthians 10 has nothing to do with the unclean animals in Leviticus. The issue was foods served to idols.

Common sense sure isn't common, and people stuck in the Law don't have any discernment. The Kingdom of God isn't about food or drink.

Jesus gave to give us life more abundantly, here and in the hereafter. What Rick Warren and Joel Osteen have discovered even though they are Evanglelicals that were no doubt taught to contrary, is that the OT dietary laws work in NT times, like 2011, if you obey them, you will be blessed, if you disobey you will suffer the consequences. Jesus death on the cross in no way changed the filthy physical make up of pig. There would be some validity to your case if all pigs after Jesus death on the cross were found to free from the deadly trichina parasite, but that is not the case. Rick and Joel have seen the light, and hopefully more Evangelical pastors will start walking in the light as well, and teaching their congregates that the OT is not be discarded as only applying to Jews, but apply to Jew and Gentile alike, and any who obey will be blessed by promises given to the obedient.

sorry bro..peter was eating in 2;12, and 2;14, says LIVING AS A GENTILE, so that means his lifestyle was as a gentile,...that was the context, lets not add on. EATING...don't act like u don't know, the food laws were a major contention.
