Bishop James Ussher was born on January 4, 1580 in Dublin, Ireland and died on March 21, 1656 in Surrey, England.

he has cast a long shadow over this discussion. tomorrow is the 350th anniversary of his death.
worth taking a minute and gather a few links and read about the man.

Even when i disagree with someone i can respect both their work and their influence. I read _The Genesis Flood_ while in grad school for biochem and it had a great influence on me. i left UC and went to seminary, much of it as influenced by GF.

I remember when my daughter told me SJG had died as well. Amazing men, it is a good thing to remember their deaths and what they contributed to this discussion.
