The first thing to know is that as we're Orthodox Christians our understanding of the world and theology and so forth are quite different from the Evangelicals. They came about in the last few centuries whereas the Orthodox have been around since the time of the Apostles so our believe and theology will be spot on with what the original Christians taught and believed.

If that was his intention, it was a complete misfire with the "once saved always saved" business.

I don't really have an interesting conversion story, except to say that a friend of mine became Orthodox and I became intrigued, which coincided with a time of spiritual search for myself, and I'd say from the first time I attended a Divine Liturgy I knew this was true. I'd been to a Catholic Mass, and I'd been to an Anglican service and I'd been to Protestant services too, but it wasn't until I learned about Holy Orthodoxy that I realised this was the best kept Christian secret on the planet!!! Anyway I don't like talking about myself too much, so I apologise if I don't post much, I do lurk though
