What would be considered putting God to the test?

I know the Bible says when you fast, keep it to yourself so God will reward you openly, because if you openly declare your fasting, you already earned your reward.

If someone were to fast and tell others they are trusting that God will bless/find favor in them/their need, would that be Putting God to the Test?

If you are going to fast keep it totally to yourself. Do not tell others anything. God does not bless or favor you because of your fast He blesses and favors you because of the Son.

(Eph 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

All of God's love is in Christ, all of His blessings are in Christ, all of His favor is in Christ, all of His promises are in Christ. Christ is all and He is enough for God and enough for the believer.
