You'll have to enlighten me regarding breaches of civil liberties (by the Federal Government) that take place under President Obama but didn't take place under President Bush. The businesses/corperations have been running the government for a long time... the puppet on thier left hand is known as the Democratic party and the puppet on thier right hand is known as the Republican party. If something is alive it's changing, the question is what are we changing into...

People were so worried about their civil rights under Bush with the wire-tapping and such, and it was all over-blown. But with Obama the same people are just willingly throwing away our rights and our country, whether it is stuff like this in the OP, or his socialist government takeovers of business, or all the other stuff he's doing. It amazing to see a generation just willingly destroy the nation out of sheer apathy and ignorance.

i think the private cops should have the powers of the regular cops.

the regular cops are often corruped by unions.

i would like to see the corrupted cops fazed out.

In the end, it all comes down to one word: I-N-T-E-G-R-I-T-Y. It doesn't matter whether the guy went through academy, is deputized, or lived in his mom's basement all his life. Ultimately, all people with integrity ought to have police authority, and none who don't should have anything. The problem is that people both with and without are in all career paths, and not very many of us are good to judge who's who.

there ought to be strict oversight of policing and prompt and harsh punishment of infractions by police.

at the same time the courts have to back up the cops instead of caving into political correctness.

criminals rights seem to be trumping victims rights.
