prayer for wisdom... thinking about joing uscg

hey everyone,
over the summer, I've been heavily interested in joining the Coast Guard, and attempting to pursue an aviation career through them. It's a huge, life altering commitment, and I just want to make sure that it's God's will that I do this. I feel like there is a lot to consider, especially because my girlfriend and I are pretty serious, and I would like to take our relationship to the next level soon. i'm sort of a family-man type and I'm unsure of how this would affect our relationship. I would just like some prayer to do the right thing here. Thanks everyone.

How much have you researched it? About.com has some good info and links I think under US military. I pray you are a blessing wherever you choose to serve others.
