Couple of Bible-quotes for starters:

Hebr 6:5
....and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come

1. Chor 4:19-20
But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will; and I will know, not the word of them that are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

_____________

The author of the Hebrews speaks about tasting of the powers of the age to come. Also, Paul is interested to find out about someone's power, as opposite of their words. And he says that words are not the blocks on which the kingdom of God is built, but power is.

- What kind of power do you think the authors of the Bible are talking about exactly?

- Should Christians expect some kind of special type of power from God?

- How practical or visible this power - thing, they're talking about, is?

- Do you see "powers of age to come" in your (or someone elses) Christian life?

- What do you think about kingdom of God being "not in word, but in power"

- If someone told you that they wanted to taste this "powers of age to come", what would you say to them? Encourage or discourage to find such a thing?
