As an LCMS Lutheran since it is our official stance that the Papacy is the Antichrist I see no reason to meet with him.

Perhaps a meeting with him might convince you and other conservative Lutherans that Luther was wrong when he called the Papacy the Antichrist? After all, even you must acknowledge that Luther was human. He was not perfect. Remember what he said about the Jews in his later years? He could well have been wrong in his teaching about the Papacy. After all, many Protestants disagree with Luther's teaching about the Papacy being AntiChrist. This is true despite the fact that the vast majority of Protestants owe much/most of their spiritual heritage to Luther.
