Austell, GA (AHN) - A Georgia law enforcement academy trainee was shot and killed by her instructor during a classroom exercise, reports The Associated Press.

Sad,
An instructor, accidently discharges a firearm, and someone was killed.

broken rules:
Always treat a gun, as if it is loaded.
Never point a weapon at anything you don't intend to shoot.
Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.(finger off the hammer for the old fashion single action pistols.)

A student making this mistake is bad, but someone training others doing it is outrageous.

WOW...what are they doing with a Loaded weapon while going through nomenclature training...the first rule in LE weapons training, check to see that the chamber is empty and the weapon is cleared before removing it from a safe stance/direction
