UALA LUMPUR: A Peruvian was jailed six months for shoplifting at a department store.
Jose Antonio Garcia, a 29-year-old businessman, admitted to stealing seven T-shirts, a shirt and a set of bed sheets from the store located at a mall in Sri Petaling on Sept 5.
He also pleaded guilty to a charge accusing him of entering Malaysia without a valid pass.
Magistrate Ahmad Solihin Abd Wahid sentenced Garcia to six months' jail on the shoplifting charge and three months' jail with a stroke of the whip for the illegal entry charge.

I wouldn't think a case like this would actually make the news. He seems to be finding himself in jail quite a bit. I am not sure why he chose to go to Malaysia. Perhaps there is an underlying reason why the jail sentences are so long.
