I have a coworker born in Chernivtsi. She was born in '77 and came here in '93. She honestly had no idea what the holodomor was or how it happened until I gave her a copy of Vasiliy Grossman's book about it Everything Flows. She was shocked, and I was shocked too. They didn't teach about it at all as it turns out.
