OT: Share songs you like of any genre of any era! (2)

I am not normally into the so called music genres often labeled indie-rock and dubstep. My daughters had me listen to these pieces by someone named Lindsey Stirling, and they are absolutely fantastic. I had to share.


This one is a cover of an Indie band called Imagine Dragons. She is playing with an a capella ensemble here, who are pretty amazing in their own right. This version is a thousand times better than the original.

I'm not sure if this is an open question, of if it references an earlier post that I missed, but I'll take a shot.


I'd say any music that promotes or glamorizes a hedonism or false religion would probably be off limits here.

Yeah, it was an open question - as I did a presentation on the issue recently and I was wondering how it applies to other forms of music. It was on the issue of secular music vs sacred music (and asking if there's such a distinction - or if styles of music not traditionally deemed as sacred can become such).

But what you say makes sense...

If you've never heard of my dude, Jerrell Johnson, goodness...you need to hear him out. One of the most visionary musicians and beautiful styles I've ever seen - especically as it concerns combining Rap with Jazz/R&B and Latin American Music..and seeking to glorify the Lord.
