"But of that day and hour no one knoweth, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone. " (Douay-Rheims)

Does this mean that there are things the Father knows that the Son doesn't?

The Father and the Son being part of the Triune Godhead know everything, but here Christ, the Son and Word of God, is speaking figuratively. Neither the Father nor the Son will reveal the day and hour of the Second Coming, so be prepared at all times, and do not ask when. Since the Angels do not know, do not bother asking Satan, a fallen angel, either.

See page 1316 of the Orthodox Study Bible for a full explanation according to St. John Chrysostom on this verse.

plus in Christ there is a Divine mind, which knows all things, and a human mind which was limited and had to grow. in His humanity, no He did not know, because He was truly human and that is not something for humans to know. but in His Divinity, He is all knowing with the Father and the Spirit.
