Good, while their reason for forming a militia was stupid, it is still a constitutional right. FBI should have handled it differently, determined if they really were there for what they believed in or if they just wanted to fight the Federal Government.

They were armed thugs not a militia. A militia is formed to defend the government and acts under the direction of the government.

This is really encouraging news for any groups of armed BLM protesters, who maybe were considering occupying a federal building in Chicago or somewhere similar.

Now that this precedent has been set, these groups know that they can safely occupy such a building for as long as they see fit, without having to worry about SWAT teams etc, and that the legal system will protect them later.

I think the Bundy clan should consider themselves most fortunate. There were no riot police, no National Guard deployed, no armored military trucks brought in, no concession grenades, no tear gas, no rubber bullets, no pepper spray, no high pitched frequency used against them and no attack dogs sicced on them to remove from the land they were on, unlike what has been going on in Standing Rock, especially yesterday. Maybe if they had chosen a greater and more noble cause like protecting the water and the land from being poisoned by an oil pipeline, then they may have been treated with more violence and hostility.

I saw no reason the believe the definition varied world wide, at least nothing in the definition indicated is was specific to our country. Why do you say it is?
