That's not defensiveness. That's specificity. And I have problems with that, too. You know, a lot of people have problems with specificity. It happens especially to people who constantly feel misunderstood by those around them. Actually, it's quite common. I'll thank you not to point out my glaring personal inadequacies that have arisen from circumstances of which you are not aware. I'm sorry, but I don't accept you as my judge, jury, and executioner.

In the future, you might consider not being quite so judgmental.
